Then. Now. Our Work Continues.
2026 marks 250 years since the founding of the United States—and 67 years of the ACLU of Rhode Island working to protect and defend civil liberties in our state.
Our theme this year—Then. Now. Our Work Continues.—recognizes that while the circumstances may change, many of the fundamental struggles over freedom, equality, and government power endure.
On Thursday, November 12, our members, supporters, cooperating attorneys, community partners, and friends will gather at The Guild in Pawtucket for the 2026 ACLU Foundation of Rhode Island Annual Meeting.
Your sponsorship or program ad helps make this gathering possible while demonstrating your commitment to civil liberties in Rhode Island.
Your sponsorship can:
- Promote your business or organization to an engaged community of ACLU supporters
- Highlight your support in our Annual Meeting program book
- Provide additional recognition based on your selected sponsorship level
- Support the legal, legislative, and public education work of the ACLU Foundation of Rhode Island
From individuals and nonprofits to businesses, unions, and community partners, we invite you to be part of this year's Annual Meeting. Your support helps ensure that our work continues.
This year's program will also feature the presentation of the Raymond J. Pettine Civil Libertarian of the Year Award to longtime friend, supporter, and cooperating attorney Lise Iwon, as well as a photography exhibit by local photographer James Hazelwood and an evening of food, conversation, and community.
